I witnessed this scene 1 week after 9/11/01 while sailing with a friend off the southeast coastline of Ct. and developed this painting This is one of many nuclear powered subs deployed from New London, Ct. I was unable to get the name/number of this sub due to the heightend security from the 6 U.S. Coast Guard cutters that escorted it to the open Atlantic waters The lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Thames River in New London ,Ct. It is over one hundred years old and is haunted according to legend.
